News Channel¶
In order to set up news announcements, you have to set up a channel using: /settings news-channel set
By default, all kind of news posts (news, featured articles, news tickers) and all categories are announced, but this can be customized as well.
Setting Filters¶
Tibia.com has 3 types of news posts:
- News Ticker: Short news, usually containing information about events starting, ending, server save resets and fansite announcements.
- Featured Article: Long and detailed posts, usually about concepts of the game, developer insights. These usually remain pinned on the main page for a determined duration.
- News: Regular news posts, for all kind of announcements such as updates, world merges, update teasers, etcetera.
Additionally, all posts are in one of these 5 categories:

The described examples are based on observation on recent posts. But there is no official documentation on what each category is used for, and their usage might be inconsistent.
CipSoft: News regarding the developing company, such as new members joining, anniversaries, changes in service agreements, price adjustments and other news involving the real world.
Community: News about community and in-game event, as well as news regarding fansites.
Development: News about changes to the game, update teasers, new store products and developer notes.
Support: News regarding rules, security issues and more.
Technical Issues: News about game downtimes, new client launcher versions, prolonged server saves and more.
By using the command /settings news-filter set, you can select all the combinations of types and categories you want to see in your news channel.
By clicking on the dropdown, it will expand, displaying all the available combinations:
Check or uncheck the combinations you want to receive, and then click Save.
From now on, NabBot will only posts those types and categories on your selected news channel.
